On Thursday March 24th, Tuesday March 29th, and Thursday March 31st, Trumbull Center conducted training on struts and our Hurst equipment. We recently received a new set of Paratech struts. We also did some good review on our Res-Q-Jack struts. Struts are used for when a car is not on all four wheels and needs to be stabilized. We also had a large demo fleet of Hurst equipment (jaws of life style tools) on March 31st. We were able to test out some of the latest and greatest tools. All members performed outstanding.

On both February 17 and February 27, 2011, firefighters of the Trumbull Volunteer Fire Company engaged in refresher training for surface ice rescue responses.   Firefighters reviewed department response protocals, double checked equipment, and practiced making rescues of victims whom had fallen through the ice.  As part of this training, the department's Dive Team's response to these sorts of emergencies was also reviewed.
