Trumbull Fire Departments assist Monroe at Commercial Fire

On June 16, 2011, all the Trumbull fire departments responded to a mutual aid call to Monroe to assist in fighting a fire in a large professional building at Elm Street and Monroe Turnpike. Per Monroe fire officials,  no one was injured at the fire that was reported  around 7 p.m.  First arriving firefighters, had heavy black smoke showing from the second floor. of the two story building.  Mutual aid departments in addition to Trumbull, came from Newtown, Botsford, Shelton and Oxford. both to operate on the scene and cover the Monroe fire stations through the remainder of the incident.
