At approximately 5:25 PM on Friday January 28th, Long Hill, with Trumbull Center as mutual aid, and Nichols as RIT were dispatched to 35 Tudor Ln for the reported structure fire. PD arrived reporting a working fire and possible people trapped. LH-3 (assistant chief) arrived on scene and reported a 2 story wood with heavy smoke in the rear. He further reported heavy fire on the second floor in the rear and everybody out of the house. First due E-206 (LH) stretched a 2.5" hoseline to the second floor to extinguish the fire. Subsequent units arrived and pulled a back-up line and performed a large amount of overhaul for the fire that got up into the attic. No one was injured and the fire was placed under control in about an hour. Nichols provided two apparatus and a chief for RIT. A job well done by all!
