37 Glenwood drive Fire, 2.21.2019
On Thursday, February 21st, at approximately 2315 hours, Trumbull Center, assisted by Long Hill, and Nichols (as RIT), was dispatched to 37 Glenwood Drive for a reported structure fire. LH Car 3 (Asst. Chief) was first to arrive and reported heavy fire within the attached garage of a single story residential ranch style dwelling. E-209 arrived and conducted an aggressive fire attack, achieving a quick knock down and preventing any fire spread into the living area. R-100 arrived and established a water supply, followed additional apparatus from all three departments assisting with various fire ground tasks. Crews conducted a search for occupants within the residence, checking for extension and mitigating a heavy smoke condition throughout.
A special thank you to our neighboring departments for back filling our stations and providing town wide coverage while we operated on scene. As a result of the suppression operations, the fire was contained to the garage and there were no injures. The incident was turned over to the Trumbull Fire Marshall’s Office.
