9/25/18 Flooding

On September 25, 2018 at approximately 1600 hours, Trumbull Center responded to an activated Fire Alarm at THS. Subsequently after, multiple alarms came in throughout the area due to torrential rainfall and flash flooding. Long Hill Car 1 requested storm protocol throughout the town. Activation of storm protocol allows all three fire departments in Trumbull to focus on priority responses throughout their primary response district and provide mutual aid response if necessary. After this was activated, Trumbull Center responded to a total of 31 calls in our district, varying from Fire Alarms, Carbon Monoxide Alarms, and other water related calls. The center of town experienced severe flooding, making many roads impassable and threatening residential and commercial buildings. As always, we commend the work of our sister departments and all emergency response personnel for their efforts during this storm.

All alarms were handled by the following units: Car 2, Car 3,Car 4, R-100, E-102, E-103, A-105, S-109
